When your teeth show signs of discoloration, a whitening treatment can revive their original brightness. Tooth discoloration can be influenced by many factors including: age, genetics, smoking, chewing tobacco, dark foods or drinks, caffeine, and the onset of tooth or gum disease. Willow Springs Dental can prescribe a whitening treatment that will work best for you depending on the level of discoloration, how your teeth became stained, and the level of whitening you want to achieve.
Teeth whitening can be performed with at-home kits, in-office bleaching treatments, porcelain veneers, and dental bonding. Many times, over-the-counter products will claim to provide teeth whitening, however, it may take months of dedicated use to show any difference in the color of your teeth.
We are proud to use Zoom 2 for our in-office bleaching. If at-home treatments are preferred, the prescribed bleach from our dental office will brighten your smile anywhere from four to ten shades when used properly.
